It is reported that the optoelectronic chip developed by the photoelectrical engineering technology research center of Yunnan University is to integrate the infrared photosensitive material with two organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) in series. First, infrared radiation is used to absorb infrared radiation to produce light carrier, and then the light generation carrier is used to drive the OLED to produce visible light emission. The purpose of infrared detection and imaging is realized.
The chip can not only directly transform infrared radiation into visible light, but also capture electrons and holes induced by infrared radiation at the same time, making the conversion efficiency of infrared light to visible light break through, up to 5%, close to the theoretical limit of 6.5%.
